Sherril is newly appointed to our board and is proud to be part of our organisation because she believes in the values of the organisation and what it aims to achieve.
Her background is in education and she worked for the department of education for 40 years as a teacher and sçhool principal in the primary sector.
Sherril began teaching in Melbourne, predominantly in the western suburbs, before moving to the north-east in 1986. Initially, she was a teacher at Melrose Primary School and over time was promoted to assistant principal and later held the position as principal. From there she was appointed principal of Wooragee Primary School.
She strongly believes in the importance of a quality education for all children and that educators must understand and appreciate the differing needs of these children.
Moving to the north east was motivated by the desire to bring up her family in the area.
Sherril has her own business as a professional consultant, in which she supports managers and leaders to develop and maintaining healthier workplaces. She also volunteers her time to help young people apply for jobs.
